About DAK (David A Knudsen)
Multidisciplinary artist trained in architecture, graphic design, and photography — because apparently one discipline was never going to cut it.
Seven years of print production at Deutsch, then the launch of my fine art photography career, still among my greatest passions today.
After discovering immersive art in the early 2000s, I created the Altervision 3D Blacklight Experience, which toured across the country. I supplemented that business with wide-format printing and stage/lighting design for corporate events, and have since added atmospheric lighting — temporary or permanent — to my repertoire, elevating moods and altering perspectives on everyday surroundings.
My latest project, “Prepper’s Paradise,” is a visually detailed story of resilience taken to its ultimate form, on view at Hospital of Emotions in Los Angeles.
