This Summer, London’s Battersea Park has been transformed into the world of Rydell High for Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical – an immersive theatrical experience where cinema, stage and celebration become one.
With dazzling live performances featuring a 30-strong cast, spectacular dance numbers and the National Bandstand Day Carnival, every corner of the world comes alive; all while the iconic film plays out on multiple screens all around you.
Nearly three years since a large-scale Secret Cinema show opened in London, can Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical follow in the footsteps of Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy and Back to the Future?
The director taking on this challenge is Olivier-award winning creative director, Matt Costain.
Matt takes us on his journey, exploring how he and his team have brought the love story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson to life – and what makes this format Secret Cinema’s most ambitious yet.

Matt Costain is an Olivier-award winning actor, aerialist and creative director. Matt’s credits for Secret Cinema include Dirty Dancing, Bridgerton, Diablo: The Gathering, Stranger Things and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
