About Miguel Melgarejo

Miguel Melgarejo is an experience designer and strategist specializing in creating meaningful moments, spaces, and services for people and communities. He is the Strategy Director at Cocolab, a Mexican company renowned for immersive multimedia experiences such as Frida Inmersiva, Ecos de Uxmal, and Disney Immersive.

Miguel is also the co-founder of Blobworks, a boutique studio focused on experience design research, training, and innovation. Through Blobworks, he has introduced over 150 people to experience design and currently advises companies across various sectors on how to integrate and thrive in the experience economy.

Miguel serves as a board member of the World Experience Organization (WXO), reinforcing his leadership in the global advancement and professionalization of experience design. Throughout his career, he has contributed to international projects like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Reinvent the Toilet Challenge and has led innovation and creative initiatives in Mexico with companies such as FEMSA, Facebook, and Danone.

He has been a key advocate for design and the creative industries through TOCTOC.mx , as well as directing the documentary Design the New Business and producing the podcast Fuera de Contexto.
