Chief Experimenter | Creator of Robotic Art Installations
My professional exposure to immersive experiences started in the Defense industry, when I led the North American entity of a manufacturer of 360-degree surveillance systems used for situational awareness. There, I learnt a lot about cognitive overload, immersive UX, sensors and participated in many large-scale immersive war games/exercises.
Today, I apply technology to my creative practice, and design automated performances that leverage IOT and AI to create multi-sensory interactive experiences that challenge participants beliefs and expectations.
I am very interested in non-linear forms of narration (in line with the storyplex developed by Stephanie Riggs in her book The End of Storytelling) which differ from the traditional storytelling approaches I've learnt during my education in literature and cinema.
I am passionate about automation, XR and the potential of AI for creatives and artists. I've always had a fascination for large scale installations and the unexpected emotions they induce.
In my 20 years working in technology and innovation, managing a startups incubator, launching my own startup, or working with multiple foreign governments (France, Canada and Scotland) to help their most promising startups grow in the US, I've gained a broad expertise in sensors, IOT, robotics, AI, advanced manufacturing and consumer industries.
