Welcome to The 'experience campfire'
- "Where cross-sector collaboration of experience thought-leaders raises the impact of experiences: to increase profit, improve wellbeing, and create a better society."
- Founded in 2020, with co-founders from Helsinki to Melbourne, from Shanghai to San Francisco, the World Experience Organization - the WXO - is a global institution dedicated to: improving the quality of experiences; enhancing the opportunities for experience creators; and promoting the Experience Economy.
- We think of the WXO as a 'campfire' around which innovators from all experience sectors gather to share stories, opinions and insights - on what the experience economy needs, where it's heading, and, most importantly, what it takes to design and deliver a great experience.
- If you were looking for comparable organizations, with our 617+ Members in 38 countries, the WXO is on track to be the 'World Economic Forum for the Experience Economy'.
Our Moonshot
- To transform quality of life on Earth
Our Mission
- To connect and provoke the pioneers of the Experience Economy
- To serve and grow the Experience Economy
- To shine a spotlight on exceptional experience design & emerging practice
Our Vision
- One transdisciplinary Experience Economy, one very connected experience ecosystem
- A gathering space and marketplace for organizations to find and hire the best-in-breed experience creators, operators, investors - all the others who help them create ever better, more successful, profitable experiences that have a positive impact on society and planet
- An evolution of society and capitalism where more people become experientialists enjoying ever better experiences
The Model
- Our vision of the future is built on a recent model from the past: the incredible rise in living standards over the past century.
- Just as in the 1920s and beyond, the innovators of materialism and the Consumer Revolution shared ideas, tools, and techniques across sectors – eg, car, radio, toaster, shoe makers etc. The result was much better things. And all those better things added up to an unprecedented transformation in standards of living.
- So now in the 2020s, the innovators of experientialism and the Experience Revolution at the WXO are sharing ideas, tools, and techniques across sectors – events, immersive, themed attractions, LBE, UX, CX, EX, AR, museums, marketing etc. The result of this cross-sector sharing is better experiences for people, better moments on Monday morning, Tuesday lunchtime, Thursday evening, Friday night, the weekend, vacations, home time, leisure time, work time. And since moments add up to lives, all those better moments will add up to an unprecedented transformation in the quality of life.
