Every year, the WXO’s annual event delivers experiences, events, workshops, and encounters that leave people saying, “That was exactly what I needed – but not what I expected.”
That’s because we don’t just curate – we co-create.
Right now, people from across the world of experience design are stepping forward, pitching what they want to share. But here’s the twist: rather than sitting in a dark room making mysterious decisions, we’re letting you tell us what should make the cut.
This is where you come in. Vote. Your vote won’t vanish into a black hole – it genuinely shapes what happens. When we design the programme, we’ll be listening hard to what gets the most energy and enthusiasm. Of course, we’ll also add a dash of surprise (it wouldn’t be London Experience Week if we didn’t), but this is how we tune into what matters to you.
So:
✅ Vote now – tell us what excites you.
✅ Share this – get your friends and colleagues involved.
✅ Help shape London Experience Week and the future of experiences.
After all, we’re here to equip experience professionals like you with the tools, ideas, and connections to thrive. And what better way to start than by co-creating the very thing that brings us together?
This is our second lineup – there are many more to come!

17. Revolutionizing Experiences with AI
with Geoff Thatcher

Description:
Will AI Transform Experiences? We know artificial intelligence is changing how we ideate, design and create experiences, but will it fundamentally transform how guests experience our exhibits and attractions the same as other technologies like film, animatronics and more? Is it just a glorified photo-booth or will it fundamentally transform the entire experience? Will AI at theme parks become as ubiquitous as cotton candy and carousels? And IF it will transform experiences, the biggest question is exactly “how” will it change them. This speech will explore what can we learn from the earliest experiments with AI and experiences, from IBM Watson’s “Voice of Art” at the Pinacoteca in Brazil in 2017 to the very latest at the College Football Hall of Fame’s GAME ON! AI Experience in 2024. What are futurists saying about AI? And can it overcome the backlash that has faced other early pioneering creative tests with the technology such as this Holiday’s season commercial from Coca-Cola?

13. Measuring Meaning: A New Approach to Evaluating Experiences
with Miguel Melgarejo

Description:
Many of us strive to design experiences that are truly meaningful – but how can we know if we’re succeeding? Is it even possible to measure meaningfulness? At Cocolab’s Experience Strategy department, we took on this challenge in collaboration with Merijn Roggen, a graduate student from the Strategic Product Design master’s program at TU Delft in the Netherlands. Together, we developed a new framework for measuring and comparing meaningfulness in experiences, drawing on the latest research – including Mat Duerden’s recent work, with whom we’ve also collaborated. In this session, we’ll share our progress, insights, and key findings. More importantly, we’ll open the conversation to explore how this approach can be refined, applied, and scaled to shape the future of experience design.

6. Story-Sharing Circles
with Naomi Crellin

Description:
Stories are central to a sense of belonging in experience design. But Story-telling is not enough – we must learn to integrate moments of Story-Sharing, reciprocal activities where audiences contribute as well as receive. In Story-Sharing, participants form small groups to share stories of when they experienced Belonging. We’ll use the Wheel of Belonging to capture keywords and themes from these conversations, generating insights on what Belonging means to a group. We’ll co-create ideas for how those insights could (re)shape moments of an experience’s narrative journey, and publish those as an outcome.
